OM is made up of a composition of vegetable oils and barrier substances that help to create healthy skin. The fatty acids from vegetable oil are responsible for the silky soft texture, excellent oxidative stability and anti-oxidant protection. Ingredients including Shea Butter, Evening Primrose Oil and Urea have been specially selected for their ability to provide powerful support to the skins barrier function as well as their remarkable healing properties
OM Ointment will help to address Essential Fatty Acid Deficiencies. Fatty acids (lipids) make up all cell membranes, including skin cells. Healthy skin cells work in synergy to build a strong skin barrier. It also aids in the prevention and correction of skin barrier disorders and will lower the rate of trans epidermal water loss (TEWL). This helps to keep your skin healthy and beautifully soft.
As our skins age the process of desquamation (shedding of dead skin cells) becomes less regular and efficient. This is accompanied by a less compact surface layer of skin which leads to rough skin. Urea provides humectant properties in OM allowing it to heal dryness and flakiness, keeping your skin soft and supple. Combined with lactic acid in the skin, urea works to remove hyperkeratinisation. improving cellular turnover and in turn improving surface texture.
