How is it done?

I use the DermaPro Microneedling pen which has 20 adjustable depths and 7 speeds so treatments can be customised for each section of your face. This is combined with Mesotherapy cocktails which are applied to the skin as the DermaPro Pen works over the skin. Microneedling creates micro-channels which allows active ingredients to penetrate quickly so Mesotherapy helps to optimise results.

What can it treat?

* wrinkles & other signs of ageing

* hyperpigmentation

* enlarged pores

* sagging skin

* thin skin density

* scarring including scars left by acne

* premature ageing

Benefits of Microneedling & FAQ’s:

  • Microneedling, often referred to as collagen induction therapy, activates the skins natural healing processes which result in the laying down of new collagen.

  • Micro injury to the keratinocyte cell (the main cell in the epidermis) supports the release of several growth factors including EGF (epidermal growth factor) which results in epidermal thickening.

    This is beneficial as a thinning epidermis is one of the expressions of ageing in the skin.

  • Micro needling also improves cell to cell communication including between the keratinocyte cells which improves skin function and ultimately helps to tighten tissues and reduce the appearance of fine lines.

  • Micro needling helps to improve structural integrity at the DEJ (dermal epidermal junction) reversing yet another expression of aging in the skin.

  • Skin needling can help to correct hyperpigmentation by normalising cell to cell signalling between the keratinocyte cell and the melanocyte cell and between the fibroblast cell and the melanocyte cell which results in healthier cell function, a more normal distribution of melanin by the melanocyte cell and a more optimal uptake of pigment by the keratinocyte cell.

    It can also increase the availability of lightening actives contained in Mesotherapy cocktails designed for this purpose.

  • Up to 90 minutes as I combine with LED Therapy and a MesoHeal Mask to calm and hydrate the skin post treatment.

  • For 24 hours after the Treatment there may be some redness and intermittent feelings of itchiness, tightness and dryness or a feeling of a mild sunburn.

    However the use of Dermalux LED Light Therapy and a soothing Meso Heal mask means side effects are minimal and have usually subsided by the following day.

    I will also give you a Meso Heal mask to take away for home use.

  • A course of 6 treatments is ecommended, ideally spaced 4-6 weeks apart.

    Spacing can be longer but not shorter.

    Improvements will be seen throughout the treatment period but the remodelling phase during which the collagen fibres become stronger and better organised generally takes place from 6 months up to two years after the original Treatment.

    This means that you do have to be patient to see the results, it is not a quick fix for the skin but the results are real and long lasting.
